On the Editor Toolbar click the “create features” button.
The create features window will open. If you don’t see a template to start editing
with, click the organize templates button.
When the Organize Feature Templates window opens, click the new template
dropdown, and select “New Template”
In the Create new Templates Wizard, make sure the feature you want to edit is
checked, then click finish.
Close the remainder of the windows. And open the create features window. The
new template is now ready to be used to digitize new features.
